Regular Season Round 28: Nova Ves - Komarno 75-84

An interesting game for Komarno (19-5) which played road game in Nova Ves against 4th ranked Nova Ves (13-12). First ranked Komarno managed to get a 9-point victory 84-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nova Ves. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-18. But Nova Ves won second period 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Nova Ves 42-29 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Chris Lowe (182-87, college: Massachusetts, agency: KMG Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Vincent Simpson (185-88, college: Hampton, agency: R.H.Consultancy) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Komarno players scored in double figures. Power forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette) replied with 23 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Maurice Acker (178-87, college: Marquette) added 22 points and 4 assists in the effort for Nova Ves. Nova Ves' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Komarno have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-5 record. Nova Ves at the other side keep the fourth place with 12 games lost. Komarno are looking forward to face league's second-placed Levice at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nova Ves will play against Prievidza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
