Regular Season Round 21: PTK Pabianice - Wisla Can-Pak 56-83

Bottom-ranked PTK Pabianice (0-17) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 17th consecutive match to third ranked Wisla Can-Pak (14-3) 83-56 on Wednesday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Wisla Can-Pak. PTK Pabianice managed to win third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wisla Can-Pak forced 25 PTK Pabianice turnovers. The best player for the winners was Australian point guard Erin Phillips (173-85) who scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Daria Mieloszynska (185-83, college: Texas, agency: Data Plus Group) chipped in 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Wisla Can-Pak players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Dorota Sobczyk (187-77) who recorded 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Joanna Rozwandowicz (179-79) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Wisla Can-Pak. Defending champion maintains third place with 14-3 record having just two points less than leader CCC Polkowice. PTK Pabianice lost their seventeenth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings. Wisla Can-Pak will meet at home league's leader CCC Polkowice in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. PTK Pabianice will play against AZS Rzeszow (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
