Basketligan top team - Sundsvall Dragons (24-4) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat eighth ranked LF Basket (11-16) 89-83. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 27-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Sundsvall Dragons made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) who added 30 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Johan Akesson (210-84, agency: Warren Sports International) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Sundsvall Dragons have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-4 record. LF Basket at the other side keeps the eighth place with 16 games lost. Sundsvall Dragons are looking forward to face KFUM Jamtland (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LF Basket will play against 08 Stockholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
