Regular Season Round 34: St.Mary's - Dalhousie 71-72

Date: February 15, 2013
A very interesting game took place in Halifax, NS. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th ranked Huskies (6-12) to fourth ranked Tigers (10-8) 72-71 on Friday evening. Huskies were ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 26-18 charge of Tigers, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Huskies' 30. Forward Simon Marr (203) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Jumol Mullings (185) supported him with 13 points and 6 assists. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. Tigers' coach John Campbell used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks by forward Riley Halpin (203) did not help to save the game for Huskies. Guard Miguel Pink (185) added 11 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Tigers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 10-8 record. Huskies lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
