Important game to mention about took place in Sudbury, ON. Sixth ranked Lions (8-12) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Voyageurs (11-9) 104-101 in the fight for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Voyageurs. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 29-21. But Voyageurs won second period 28-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Voyageurs' 50. Lions forced 20 Voyageurs turnovers. Guard Isaac Akeem (190-90) fired 24 points for the winners. Forward Nick Tufegdzich (201) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Lions players scored in double figures. Lions' coach Tom Oliveri used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Alex Ratte produced 42 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Georges Serresse (191) added 25 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Lions moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Brock. Loser Voyageurs keep the fourth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
