A very close game took place in Hamilton, ON between Thunderwolves and Marauders. Second ranked Thunderwolves (14-6) got a very close victory on the road over one of their biggest challengers Marauders (12-8). Thunderwolves managed to escape with a 3-point win 78-75 in the fight for the second place. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Marauders. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 24-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Thunderwolves forced 19 Marauders turnovers. Center Ryan Thomson (201-90) scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Ben Johnson (-88) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Nathan Mccarthy (203) responded with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Adam Presutti (188) scored 10 points and 8 assists. Four Marauders players scored in double figures. Thunderwolves maintains second position with 14-6 record behind leader UBC. Loser Marauders keep the third place with eight games lost. Thunderwolves will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Marauders will play again against the league's second-placed Thunderwolves in Thunder Bay, ON and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
