Regular Season Round 33: Foshan LL - Beijing Ducks 112-106

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Beijing Ducks (21-10) against eleventh ranked Foshan (14-17) on Friday night. Visiting Beijing Ducks were defeated by Foshan in a tough game in Foshan 106-112. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Beijing Ducks. It looked good early as Beijing Ducks took an 13-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Foshan took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 6 points. They also forced 20 Beijing Ducks turnovers. American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) nailed 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winning side and Syrian guard Michel Maadanly (194-81) accounted for 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) came up with 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Li Gun (196-88) added 33 points (!!!) respectively for Beijing Ducks in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Beijing Ducks' coach LuLei Min rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Foshan maintains eleventh place with 14-17 record. Beijing Ducks at the other side keep the third position with ten games lost. Foshan will play against TianJin Steel (#15) in Tianjin in the next round. Beijing Ducks will play at home against Bayi Rockets (#10) in Ningbo and hope to get back on the winning track.
