The game in Batumi supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Olimpi (10-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Batumi (3-10). Olimpi smashed Batumi 105-66 on Friday. The game without a history. Olimpi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Batumi's 38. They outrebounded Batumi 57-28 including a 34-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olimpi looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. International Akaki Dvalishvili (206-90) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and Levan Fatsatsia supported him with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Olimpi's coach George Kazanjian felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by the former international forward Lasha Keshelava (200-81) did not help to save the game for Batumi. Naturalized Russian center Giorgi Kvelashvili (206-81) added 22 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Olimpi moved-up to third place, which they share with Armia. Batumi lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Olimpi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena TSU.
