Date: February 16, 2013
The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Ravens' (19-1) road victory over second-ranked Gee-Gees (15-5) in Ottawa, ON 111-107 on Saturday. Gee-Gees were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Thomas Scrubb (196) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 18 rebounds. The former international guard Philip Scrubb (190-92) contributed with 31 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Warren Ward (196-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (185) added 22 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Gee-Gees. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Gee-Gees' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ravens have an impressive series of nineteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-1 record. Loser Gee-Gees keep the second position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
