Regular Season Round 18: WKK Wroclaw - Pogon Prudnik 113-48

An interesting game for WKK Wroclaw (12-4) which hosted in Wroclaw second-best Pogon Prudnik (12-4). Third ranked WKK Wroclaw had an easy win 113-48. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pogon Prudnik. The game without a history. WKK Wroclaw led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Pogon Prudnik's 22 and made 17-of-18 charity shots (94.4 percent) during the game. WKK Wroclaw forced 27 Pogon Prudnik turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Pogon Prudnik's players. The best player for the winners was point guard Jakub Koelner (183-93) who scored 21 points (perfect from downtown making all seven shots !!!). Center Tomasz Nowakowski (209-90) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five WKK Wroclaw players scored in double figures. WKK Wroclaw's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Szymon Kucia (190-83) who recorded 18 points and swingman Maciej Lepczynski (193-82) added 10 points respectively. WKK Wroclaw have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with defeated Pogon Prudnik. WKK Wroclaw's next round opponent will be Alba Chorzow (#8) on the road where they are favorite. Pogon Prudnik will play against the league's leader AZS AWF K-ce (#1) in Katowice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
