Regular Season Round 14: STU Tbilisi - Kutaisi 41-96

Bottom-ranked STU is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 13th consecutive match to sixth ranked Kutaisi (8-5) 96-41. The game without a history. Kutaisi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding STU to just 7 points in second quarter. Kutaisi held STU to an opponent 23.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 49.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Kutaisi forced 25 STU turnovers and outrebounded them 49-36 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. International center Richard Matiashvili (207-89) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Giorgi Barbakadze (203-91) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
