Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Tbilisi: Armia (#4) and Samedicino-Academia (#10). Samedicino-Academia was smashed at home by 40 points 65-105 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Armia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 24 Samedicino-Academia turnovers. Armia shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Samedicino-Academia's players. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Lasha Parghalava (191-87, college: Montana St. - Billin) who scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international point guard Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-86, agency: FCM) chipped in 15 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Center Levan Revazashvili (207-92) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and guard Irakli Gabisonia (195-89) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Armia and four Samedicino-Academia players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Armia (10-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion (10-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Olimpi. Samedicino-Academia lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. Armia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena STU.
