Regular Season Round 17: Terpsithea - Kronos AD 51-70

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Kronos AD (9-8) crushed 9th ranked Terpsithea (6-11) in Glyfadas 70-51 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kronos AD. Terpsithea was better in second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Anastasia Gotzi orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points. American guard Jasmine Smith (172, college: St.Mary's, CA) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Kronos AD's coach Theodoros Orfanidis used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Cypriot guard Eleana Pantazi (177-83) answered with 26 points and 8 rebounds and the former international center Maria Panagiotopoulou (187-83) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Terpsithea. Kronos AD moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ikaros Kalitheas and Aris. Newly promoted Terpsithea dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Kronos AD will face league's second-placed AO Ellinikou at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Terpsithea will play against Athinaikos (#3) in Athens.
