There was no surprise in Lugo where 10th ranked Lleida Basquet (7-11) was defeated by fifth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (10-8) 83-68 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-68. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian guard Gintaras Leonavicius (194-83, agency: Players Group) who scored 24 points. Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale) who recorded 13 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Daniel Rodriguez (182-84) added 14 points and 6 assists respectively. Four Lleida Basquet players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Leche Rio Breogan have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 10-8 record. Lleida Basquet lost third consecutive game. Loser Lleida Basquet keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost.
