Regular Season Round 22: Quimper - CFBB 81-61

Bottom-ranked CFBB is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 20th consecutive match to third ranked Quimper UJAP (14-5) 81-61. The game was mostly controlled by Quimper UJAP. CFBB was better in third quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Quimper UJAP outrebounded CFBB 32-20 including 25 on the defensive glass. Nigerian forward Corey Raji (198-88, college: Boston Coll., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Florian Thibedore (193-90) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists during the contest. Quimper UJAP's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Damien Inglis (203-95) responded with 21 points and guard Charly Pontens (189-95) scored 9 points. Quimper UJAP have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 14-5 record behind leader Vichy, which they share with Souffel. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings. Quimper UJAP will play against La Rochelle (#6) on the road in the next round. CFBB will play against the league's second-placed Orchesien BC (#2) in Orchies and hopes to get finally their first victory.
