Rather expected game when 6th ranked Prievidza (11-14) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Nova Ves (14-12) 90-76. The game without a history. Nova Ves led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Power forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette) nailed 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Maurice Acker (178-87, college: Marquette) accounted for 19 points and 9 assists. Burke is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Joseph Harris (196-87, college: Co.Carolina) came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Willie Powers (187-89, college: Georgia South) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Prievidza in the defeat. Five Nova Ves and four Prievidza players scored in double figures. Prievidza's coach Raul Jimenez rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nova Ves maintains fourth place with 14-12 record. Prievidza lost their third game in a row. Defending champion keeps the sixth position with 14 games lost. Nova Ves will play against league's leader Levice on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Prievidza will play against Inter Bratislava (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
