There was no surprise when 8th ranked Oita Heat Devils (11-22) were outplayed on the road by fourth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (21-12) 90-71 on Saturday. The game without a history. Fukuoka Rizing led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Top Notch Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Julius Ashby (205-82, college: Colorado) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. Fukuoka Rizing's coach Atsushi Kanazawa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Taishiro Shimizu (183-81) responded with 18 points and 7 assists and American center Thomas Granado (208-88, college: Concordia Irvine) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Fukuoka Rizing and four Oita Heat Devils players scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing maintains fourth place with 21-12 record, which they share with Toyama Grouses. Oita Heat Devils lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 22 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face again Oita Heat Devils (#8) at home in the next round.
