Regular Season Round 28: Huima - HyPo 68-56

There was no surprise in Aanekoski where 11th ranked HyPo (2-20) was defeated by seventh ranked Aanekosken (12-11) 68-56 on Saturday. HyPo was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 23-10 charge of Aanekosken, which allowed them to win the game. Aanekosken had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 20 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import swingman Jasmin Holliday (182-90, college: Oregon) who added 20 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Aanekosken players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Phebe Smith (183, college: Columbus St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands-American swingman Natalie Day (182-90, college: Portland) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Aanekosken maintains seventh position with 12-11 record. HyPo lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 20 lost games. Aanekosken will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. HyPo will play against the league's leader Catz Lappeenranta (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
