The game between Top Four teams took place in Grodno. First ranked host Olimpia GrGAU (16-1) defeated 4th placed Sozh Gomel (6-11) 64-53. The game was mostly controlled by Olimpia GrGAU. Sozh Gomel was better in second period 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sozh Gomel to just 4 points in first quarter. The former international Maryia Filonchyk (187-92) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Russian-Ukrainian center Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-81) accounted for 14 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Olga Kopylova (187-82) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and Ukrainian center Elena Staschuk (192-85) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Sozh Gomel in the defeat. Olimpia GrGAU maintains first place in League with 16-1 record. Sozh Gomel at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Olimpia GrGAU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sozh Gomel will play on the road against Gorizont (#3) in Minsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
