There was no surprise when 9th ranked West Coast Waves (4-20) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Sydney Uni Flames (8-16) 76-60 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 16 points. Sydney Uni Flames forced 20 West Coast Waves turnovers. Guard Kate Ebzery (177-90) fired 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Sarah Graham (163-89) chipped in 21 points. New Zealand forward Antonia Edmondson (181-87) produced 12 points and forward Hayley Moffatt (179-85) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sydney Uni Flames moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Logan T. Loser West Coast Waves stay dead last with 20 lost games.
