Regular Season Round 34: New Brunsw. - Memorial 58-88

Date: February 16, 2013
No shocking result in a game in Fredericton where fourth ranked Memorial (10-8) smashed 8th ranked UNB (2-16) 88-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. Memorial led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Guard Emily Jameson (178-91) fired 25 points for the winners. Forward Grace Fishbein (180-90) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Memorial players scored in double figures. Guard Claire Colborne (183) produced 22 points and 9 rebounds and forward Melissa Foster (178) added 2 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Memorial maintains fourth position with 10-8 record. UNB lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 16 games lost. Memorial will face UPEI (#6) in Charlottetown in the next round. UNB will play again at home against Memorial in St. John's.
