Regular Season Round 29: TuRi - BC Nokia 58-53

The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked TuRi's (7-17) home victory over 10th ranked BC Nokia (4-20) in Turku 58-53 on Sunday. American forward Callan Taylor (182-90, college: Sacred Heart) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Canadian guard Brittany Hedderson (175-90, college: Buffalo) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Nina Hyvarinen (175-80) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Alberta Auguste (180-85, college: Tennessee) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for BC Nokia. TuRi moved-up to eighth place. BC Nokia at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth position with 20 games lost. TuRi are looking forward to face Kerava Energia Team (#9) on the road in the next round. BC Nokia will play against Forssan Alku and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
