No shocking result in a game when thirteenth ranked Astoria Bydg. (10-14) beat bottom-ranked UMKS Kielce (4-21) in Bydgoszcz 86-75 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 15-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-75. Astoria Bydg. dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to UMKS Kielce's 36. Astoria Bydg. forced 19 UMKS Kielce turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for forward Wojciech Fras (203-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Astoria Bydg. will face league's second-placed AZS Kutno on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UMKS Kielce will play against the league's leader Slask Wroclaw (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
