Seventh-ranked Shinshu BW (15-19) made lots of trouble for second ranked Yokohama BC (24-8) in Nagano. The visitors from Yokohama managed to secure only two-point victory 79-77. However their fans expected much easier game. Shinshu BW was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 28-22 charge of Yokohama BC, which allowed them to win the game. Shinshu BW was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul, agency: Top Notch Sports) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 9 assists. The other American import forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Global Sports Plaza) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Yokohama BC's coach Reggie Geary allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and guard Takanori Goya (190-83) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Shinshu BW. Yokohama BC have an impressive five-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Okinawa GK lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Shinshu BW lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 19 games lost. Yokohama BC will play against Iwate Big Bulls (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Shinshu BW will play against Tokyo Cinq R. (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
