Regular Season Round 18: AZS AGH Alstom - Wisla AWF Kr. 57-65

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked AZS AGH Alstom (5-10) lost to ninth ranked Wisla AWF Kr. (5-9) in Krakow 57-65 on Sunday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-11. But AZS AGH Alstom won third quarter 15-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wisla AWF Kr. made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for guard Jacek Sulowski (192-79) who led his team to a victory with 27 points. point guard Jakub Dwernicki (180-86) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Przemyslaw Ostrowski (194-86) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Grzegorz Dudzik (190-84) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for AZS AGH Alstom. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wisla AWF Kr. moved-up to eighth place in Group C. AZS AGH Alstom lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
