The game in Chieti was also quite interesting. Seventh ranked Agrigento (13-10) played at the court of 8th ranked Chieti (11-12). Agrigento managed to secure a 7-point victory 90-83 on Sunday. Naturalized Argentinian forward Albano Chiarastella (196-85) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and guard Giuseppe Anello (188-88) accounted for 15 points and 5 assists. Four Agrigento players scored in double figures. Agrigento's coach Franco Ciani used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Emanuele Rossi (208-82) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized San Marino Andrea Raschi (198-79) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively for Chieti in the defeat. Agrigento moved-up to third place, which they share with Castelletto. Loser Chieti dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Agrigento will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Chieti will play against Reggio Calabr. (#10) in Reggio Calabria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
