Regular Season Round 19: Novipiu Casale - C.de Latte BRE 91-87

An interesting game for Novipiu Casale (12-6) which hosted in Casale 4th placed C.de Latte BRE (11-7). Third ranked Novipiu Casale managed to get a 4-point victory 91-87. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of C.de Latte BRE. C.de Latte BRE was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 29-22 charge of Novipiu Casale, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American point guard Casper Ware (177-90, college: Long Beach St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals (made all of his eight free throws). His fellow American import swingman Rodney Green (195-88, college: La Salle) helped adding 20 points. At the losing side Greek forward Nikos Barlos (203-79) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward David Brkic (210-82, agency: Interperformances) scored 19 points. Four C.de Latte BRE players scored in double figures. Novipiu Casale maintains third place with 12-6 record having just -5 point less than leader Sigma Barcel. C.de Latte BRE at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Novipiu Casale will play against Fileni BPA Jesi (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. C.de Latte BRE will play against Prima Veroli (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
