Regular Season Round 21: Cajasol - CAI Zaragoza 67-75

Date: February 17, 2013
No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked CAI Zaragoza (12-9) beat 15th ranked Cajasol (7-14) in Sevilla 75-67 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Cajasol won third quarter 20-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for guard Pedro Llompart (190-82) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Belgian point guard Sam Van Rossom (188-86) contributed with 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. CAI Zaragoza's coach Jose Luis Abos allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American-Puerto Rican swingman John Holland (195-88, college: Boston U.) answered with 17 points and 6 assists and Czech center Ondrej Balvin (216-92) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Cajasol. CAI Zaragoza maintains seventh place with 12-9 record, which they share with Asefa Estudian. Cajasol lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. CAI Zaragoza will face higher ranked Valencia Basket (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cajasol will play against Asefa Estudiantes (#8) in Madrid.
