We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Armani Milano (12-7) beat on the road 5th ranked Lottomatica Roma (12-7) 79-66 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Armani Milano. Lottomatica Roma was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for Greek forward Antonis Fotsis (209-81) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). American Keith Langford (193-83, college: Kansas) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Armani Milano's coach Sergio Scariolo used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American-Nigerian power forward Gani Lawal (205-88, college: Georgia Tech) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Phil Goss (186-83, college: Drexel) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Lottomatica Roma. Armani Milano have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cantu and Acea Virtus RM. Armani Milano will face Trenkwalder RE (#8) in Reggio Emilia in the next round. Lottomatica Roma will play on the road against Juvecaserta (#10) in Caserta.
