Regular Season Round 25: Torino - Bari 75-74

Fifth-ranked Bari (12-10) was very close to win a game against first ranked Torino (20-3) on Sunday. Torino managed to secure only one-point victory 75-74. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 21-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Marco Evangelisti (198-84) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 steals. The former international power forward Francesco Conti (205-83) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Marco Cardillo (196-85) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Antonio Ruggiero (190-81) added 14 points in the effort for Bari. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Torino have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-3 record. Bari at the other side dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Treviglio. Torino are looking forward to face Mirandola (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bari will have a break next round.
