Regular Season Round 36: Miyazaki SS - Takamatsu FA 61-84

The game with biggest result difference took place in Miyazaki. Local Miyazaki Shining Suns (5-29) were outscored by seventh ranked Takamatsu FA (12-21) 84-61 on Sunday night. Takamatsu FA dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Miyazaki Shining Suns' 34. They outrebounded Miyazaki Shining Suns 49-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import forward Brandon Penn (203-90, college: Rider, agency: I.D.S. Law) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. Takamatsu FA's coach Kenzo Maeda felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Larriques Cunningham (198-88, college: Lee) who recorded 23 points and 9 rebounds and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Takamatsu FA maintains seventh position with 12-21 record, which they share with Tokyo Cinq R. Loser Miyazaki Shining Suns keep the tenth place with 29 games lost. Takamatsu FA will face higher ranked Shiga L-Stars (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Miyazaki Shining Suns will play against Fukuoka Rizing (#4).
