An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nagoya. Third ranked Toyota A. faced 4th placed Chanson V-M. Host Toyota A. (22-7) defeated guests from Shizuoka (20-9) 72-61. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota A.. Chanson V-M was better in third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Chanson V-M to just 7 points in first quarter. Toyota A. brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mika Kurihara (178-89) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocks. International guard Emi Kudeken (165-84) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. Forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and the former international swingman Saori Fujiyoshi (178-87) added 7 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Chanson V-M. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Toyota A.. They moved-up to second place. Chanson V-M at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost.
