Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion and 8th ranked Hap.Petah Tikva had identical 6-10 record. This time Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Petah Tikva 72-53. The game without a history. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Hap.Petah Tikva's 18. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. At the losing side American point guard Porsche Poole (172-89, college: Michigan St.) responded with 18 points and Jamaican power forward Vanessa Gidden (193-85, college: Hofstra) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (7-10) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Elitzur Holon. Hap.Petah Tikva lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. They share it with Elitzur Netanya and Galil Elion. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion will play against Galil Elion (#8) in Kfar Blum in the next round. Hap.Petah Tikva will play at home against Elitzur Netanya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
