Regular Season Round 15: Batumi - Sokhumi 77-81

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Batumi's (3-11) home loss to eighth ranked Sokhumi (4-9) 77-81. Batumi was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Batumi 48-26 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Batumi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for center Sergo Atvashovili (223-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 21 rebounds. Serbian guard Bosko Stojakovic (196-84) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Nika Ramishvili (179-94) answered with 28 points and the former international forward Lasha Keshelava (200-81) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Batumi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sokhumi maintains eighth place with 4-9 record. Batumi lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost.
