Regular Season Round 24: St Quentin - Antibes 88-83

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Olympique Antibes (15-9) against twelfth ranked Saint-Quentin (11-13) on Friday night. Visiting Olympique Antibes was defeated by Saint-Quentin in a tough game in Saint-Quentin 83-88. Olympique Antibes was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 51-44 second half run of Saint-Quentin. They also forced 20 Olympique Antibes turnovers. It was a good game for power forward Julien Lesieu (201-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American-Ghanian Amu Saaka (198-88, college: Furman, agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with 22 points for the winners. American forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) replied with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) added 27 points (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) in the effort for Olympique Antibes. Olympique Antibes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Saint-Quentin maintains twelfth position with 11-13 record. Olympique Antibes at the other side dropped to the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Fos Ouest. Saint-Quentin will play against Bordeaux (#17) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Olympique Antibes will play against SPO Rouen (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
