Very important is a road loss of third ranked MOSiR Krosno (14-11) against eleventh ranked P.Cukier SIDEn (13-12) on Saturday night. Visiting MOSiR Krosno was defeated by P.Cukier SIDEn in a tough game in Torun 66-74. It looked good early as MOSiR Krosno took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then P.Cukier SIDEn had a 19-15 second period charge getting the lead and MOSiR Krosno was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 66-74. MOSiR Krosno was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Jacek Jarecki (197-88) nailed 24 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international point guard Lukasz Zytko (181-81) accounted for 15 points and 4 assists. point guard Kamil Laczynski (180-89) came up with 11 points and 5 assists and point guard Dariusz Oczkowicz (183-81) added 13 points respectively for MOSiR Krosno in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. P.Cukier SIDEn moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. MOSiR Krosno at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Sokol Lancut. P.Cukier SIDEn will play against Spojnia (#7) in Stargard in the next round.
