The game in Kronos was also quite interesting. Second ranked AO Ellinikou (16-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Kronos AD (9-9). AO Ellinikou defeated Kronos AD 74-64 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kronos AD. Kronos AD was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Kronos AD 37-25 including 23 on the defensive glass. AO Ellinikou looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Tania Chalivera (178-85) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Newly promoted AO Ellinikou maintains second position with 16-2 record behind leader Panathinaikos. Loser Kronos AD keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. AO Ellinikou will meet at home Athinaikos (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kronos AD will play against Aris (#6) in Thessaloniki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
