Regular Season Round 26: Basquete Cearense - Flamengo 82-101
Date: February 23, 2013
Very predictable result in Aldeota where first ranked Flamengo (23-2) outscored 10th ranked SKY/Basquete (11-13) 101-82 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Flamengo. SKY/Basquete was better in fourth quarter 30-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Flamengo shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Flamengo made 11 blocks. The best player for the winners was international swingman Vitor Benite (190-90) who scored 29 points. The former international power forward Shilton Santos (198-82) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Flamengo players scored in double figures. The former international forward Felipe Ribeiro (201-79) produced 22 points and 8 rebounds and the former international swingman Andre Bresolin (195-87) added 18 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flamengo maintains first position with 23-2 record. SKY/Basquete at the other side keeps the tenth place with 13 games lost. Flamengo will face Mogi (#13) in Mogi das Cruzes in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
