Rather expected game when 11th ranked Viterbo (5-15) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Salerno (9-12) 79-62. The game was mostly controlled by Salerno. Viterbo was better in fourth quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Viterbo 38-26 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for international point guard Raelin D'Alie (168-87, college: Wisconsin) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Azzurra Gaglio (183-89) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Czech center Martina Rejchova (195-83) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and forward Giulia Manzotti (176-93) added 14 points in the effort for Viterbo. Four Viterbo players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Newly promoted Salerno maintains eighth position in South with 9-12 record. Viterbo lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 15 games lost.
