CIS top team - Capers (19-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixth ranked Varsity Reds (6-14) in Fredericton, NB 86-70. The game was mostly controlled by Capers. Varsity Reds was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jimmy Dorsey (188) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Guard Kayon Mayers (185) contributed with 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Capers' coach Matt Skinn allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard William Mc Fee (190) answered with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Jordan Irvine (193) added 10 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Varsity Reds. Capers have an impressive series of nineteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-1 record, which they share with Carleton. Varsity Reds lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 14 games lost.
