Regular Season Round 15: TSU Tbilisi - Olimpi 72-91

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Olimpi (#4) and TSU (#7). TSU was crushed at home by 19 points 72-91 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Olimpi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 20 TSU turnovers. Olimpi looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was international Akaki Dvalishvili (206-90) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Konstantine Tomaradze (197-90) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Serzhi Aselaini (198-91) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and guard George Khaniashvili (194-89) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Olimpi. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Armia. Loser TSU keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Olimpi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Samedicino-Academia.
