Regular Season Round 18: Aalstar - M.Hainaut 78-86

Ethias League round 18 most important game was a victory of Belfius Mons-Hainaut over one of their biggest challengers Okapi Aalstar 86-78 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Okapi Aalstar. Okapi Aalstar was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a good game for American forward Justin Cage (198-85, college: Xavier, agency: Priority Sports) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import forward Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP) replied with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Ryan Thompson (198-89, college: Rider) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Okapi Aalstar. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Belfius Mons-Hainaut have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-6 record behind leader Oostende. Okapi Aalstar at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Belfius Mons-Hainaut are looking forward to face Spirou Charleroi (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Okapi Aalstar will play against Liege Basket in Liege and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
