An interesting game took place in Pozoan where higher ranked Spojnia (13-12) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked AZS PP (5-19) 68-59. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Spojnia. The hosts were already 13 points ahead at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 17-12 last quarter charge of Spojnia cut the lead to 68-59 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Adam Metelski (208-83, college: Cal-Irvine) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds. point guard Pawel Hybiak (173-89) contributed with 9 points and 9 assists for the winners. Guard Bartlomiej Szczepaniak (187-81) answered with 14 points and forward Hubert Pabian (202-89, agency: Promotex) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Spojnia. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted AZS PP maintains fifteenth place with 5-19 record. Spojnia at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. AZS PP's next round opponent will be higher ranked Astoria Bydg. (#13) in Bydgoszcz and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
