Regular Season Round 37: Chiba Jets - Akita NH 75-78

Important game to mention about took place in Chiba. Sixth ranked Akita Happinets (18-15) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Chiba Jets (18-15) 78-75 in the fight for the fifth place. American players dominated also this game. Forward Marshall Brown (199-85, college: Missouri) stepped up and scored 26 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St., agency: Top Notch Sports) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Marquin Chandler (202-82, college: San Jose St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 14 rebounds and center Joe Werner (201-84, college: Wisc.-La Cros.) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Akita Happinets moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Chiba Jets. Akita Happinets will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Chiba Jets will play again at home against Akita Happinets (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
