Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (5-30) were outscored on the road by fourth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (23-12) 99-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Miyazaki Shining Suns was better in second period 27-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing forced 19 Miyazaki Shining Suns turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Coach Atsushi Kanazawa's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and American power forward Thomas Fairley (206-82, college: Lamar) added 10 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Miyazaki Shining Suns. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Loser Miyazaki Shining Suns keep the tenth position with 30 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face again Miyazaki Shining Suns (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
