Very expected game when 10th ranked Dunkerque (6-11) lost on the road to sixth ranked Reims (10-7) 79-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Reims. Dunkerque managed to win second period 24-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Maud Lesoudard (185-88) notched 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Anais Jomby (168-86) supported her with 19 points. Four Reims players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds by Latvian power forward Dace Brumermane (187-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) did not help to save the game for Dunkerque. American center Sabrina Scott (190-81, college: Colorado) added 5 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Reims maintains sixth position with 10-7 record. Loser Dunkerque keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. Reims will meet higher ranked COB Calais (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dunkerque will play against the league's leader Nice (#1) and hope to secure a win.
