Regular Season Round 23: CFBB - Orchy 61-101

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-21) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 21th consecutive match to second ranked Orchesien BC (15-4) 101-61 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Orchesien BC. CFBB managed to win third quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Orchesien BC forced 20 CFBB turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Orchesien BC especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Renaud Brocheray (202-80) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). point guard Emilien Barbry (188-83) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Orchesien BC players scored in double figures. Orchesien BC's coach Philippe Namyst felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Damien Inglis (203-95) produced 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Cyrille Eliezer-Vanerot (198-96) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Orchesien BC have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 15-4 record behind leader Vichy. Loser CFBB still closes the standings. Orchesien BC will meet at home La Rochelle (#6) in the next round. CFBB will play against Monaco (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
