Regular Season Round 26: Treviglio - Firenze 86-75
Date: February 24, 2013
No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Treviglio (13-10) won against at home 12th ranked Firenze (10-12) 86-75. The game was mostly controlled by Treviglio. Firenze was better in third quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Treviglio forced 19 Firenze turnovers. Forward Riccardo Pederzini (198-89) notched 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Davide Reati (193-88) supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Even 10 points and 9 rebounds by center Andrea Capitanelli (203-86) did not help to save the game for Firenze. The former international point guard Mattia Caroldi (185-82) added 12 points and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Firenze's coach Riccardo Paolini rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Treviglio moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Agrigento. Firenze at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Treviglio will play against Naturhouse Ferrara (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Firenze will play against Latina Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
