An interesting game took place in Sevilla where higher ranked Asefa Estudiantes (12-10) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Cajasol (8-14) 86-78 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Asefa Estudiantes. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 53-43 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American-Puerto Rican swingman John Holland (195-88, college: Boston U.) fired 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. American-Bulgarian guard Roderick Blakney (184-76, college: S.Carolina St.) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. Four Cajasol players scored in double figures. American swingman Kyle Kuric (193-89, college: Louisville) produced 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and center German Gabriel (207-80) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Cajasol moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Blancos de R. Asefa Estudiantes at the other side keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Cajasol will meet higher ranked Valencia Basket (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Asefa Estudiantes will play against Blancos de Rueda in Valladolid and hope to secure a win.
