Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (5-31) were defeated on the road by third ranked Fukuoka Rizing (24-12) 77-63 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Miyazaki Shining Suns was better in second period 16-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Top Notch Sports) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and American power forward Thomas Fairley (206-82, college: Lamar) scored 5 points and 13 rebounds. Fukuoka Rizing have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 24-12 record having just 0 points less than leader Niigata Albirex, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls. Miyazaki Shining Suns lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 31 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face Gunma (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Miyazaki Shining Suns will play against Toyama Grouses.
